About this event in the Jura in Arbois
From Arbois to the landscapes of the steep-sided valley
The Trail du Cirque du Fer à Cheval in Arbois is announced at Camping Les Vignes. It invites you to explore one of the Jura’s prettiest steep-sided valleys, on the edge of the first plateau. The route described follows the GR59 – l’Echappée Jurassienne, runs alongside the Cuisance and passes through the villages of the Arbois wine-growing area, alternating between woodland and rocky terrain.
The first few kilometres pass through the streets of Arbois. After crossing the Pont des Capucins comes the first climb, towards the small Ermitage chapel overlooking the town. The route then follows the Allée du Roi de Rome. What follows depends on the distance chosen.
