From the workshop to the maturing cellars
In Plasne, the Les Délices du Plateau cheese dairy offers a guided tour at the heart of its cooperative. Your hosts will guide you as you discover how Comté is made and the secrets of making and maturing cheeses described as unique in the world, preserved by the Master Cheesemakers and producers.
The tour includes the production workshop and the maturing cellars. It offers an insight into these two stages within the cheese dairy itself.
A guided tasting
The visit continues with a guided tasting of Comté, Tomme and Morbier. Their many aromas take centre stage, along with their pairings with Jura wines.
Booking and times
The tour is available by advance booking only. It lasts around 1 hour 30 minutes and takes place every Wednesday and Friday at 08:45, except on public holidays and during the Christmas holidays.
