About this event in the Jura in Dole
Loup takes his first steps in music
At La Commanderie in Dole, ‘The Wolf Who Wanted to Make Music’ brings a new adventure for the character to the stage. The show is based on the new picture book in the famous series, due out in October, which begins with a wolf who loves music: at the slightest note, his whiskers twitch, his tail wiggles and he starts to sway. This wolf is called Loup.
From the ukulele to plans for a concert
Enthused by the ukulele, Loup sets about learning music. The first notes bring their share of challenges, but he can count on the support of his friends: Demoiselle Yéti, Gros Louis, Louve, Valentin and Joshua.
As he learns, Loup makes progress and enjoys playing so much that he decides to form a band and give a concert. He then takes the whole gang on a musical adventure full of surprises. The journey from those first notes to plans for a band is the thread running through this story.
The characters come to life on stage
The stage adaptation brings the iconic characters to life through a group of actors, musicians and singers. Original songs by Orianne Lallemand and Guillaume Aldebert set the rhythm of the concert and accompany this adventure with Loup and his friends.
This lively show combines humour and poetry. Suitable for ages 3 and over.
