About this event in the Jura in Lons-le-Saunier

The medieval castle beyond the clichés

At the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Lons-le-Saunier, the exhibition ‘The castles of the Jura… mighty FORTRESSES!’ challenges familiar images of the medieval castle.

Besieged keeps and drawbridges from films about knights do not tell the whole story: it is this narrow view that the exhibition calls into question.
