About this event in the Jura in Coteaux-du-Lizon
Organic seeds for birds in winter
The CPIE du Haut-Jura is running its “welcoming biodiversity into your garden” initiative again this autumn. As part of this, the association is selling bags of organic sunflower seeds from the Ferme de Germigney (39).
You can find the CPIE at the weekly market in the village of Coteaux du Lizon on Friday 30 October, from 09:00 to 11:00.
A regular supply of food
Harsh winter conditions make it harder for birds to find food. A tit can lose 10% of its body weight in a single winter night. Providing a regular supply of food is one way to help them: this is the purpose behind the sunflower seed sale.
Two bag sizes
The 12 kg bags cost €22 and the 6 kg bags cost €12. Purchases are limited to a maximum of 5 bags per family.
An educational booklet is included free with every purchase to support your efforts. It covers how to feed birds, good practices and DIY ideas, helping you better understand and get to know the inhabitants of your garden.
Ordering and finding the CPIE
Bags can be ordered before the market. The announced order deadline is 31 October.
Orders can be placed by phone on 06 13 63 11 75, between 09:00 and 18:00, or online at: helloasso.com/associations/cpie-du-haut-jura/boutiques/operation-accueillir-la-biodiversite-dans-son-jardin-2026
