About this event in the Jura in Darbonnay
Connecting perfumes with the aromas of Jura wines
In Darbonnay, La Bulle à Parfums offers “Perfumes & Wines of the Jura”, a sensory workshop bringing fragrance families and local wines into dialogue. Combining scents from the Grasse area with wine tasting, this experience is shared in a small group. It is presented as a friendly, immersive and unexpected interlude to awaken the senses in a different way.
The guiding thread is the dialogue between nose and palate. Perfume and wine share not only scents, but also a vocabulary, raw materials and a quest for balance. The workshop explores these connections, moving from fragrances to the aromas in the glass.
The scent and tasting programme
- Discover the language of perfume
Tiphaine introduces you to fragrance families through rare fragrances. Floral, woody, fruity, spicy: these families provide the reference points for this first exploration.
You also learn the techniques professionals use to identify, memorise and name smells. This training of the nose provides skills directly applicable to wine tasting.
- Explore a selection of Jura wines
The tasting focuses on selected Jura wines. It teaches you how to break down their aromas and follow the stages of a professional tasting.
Matching scents is the key moment of the workshop: the aim is to connect the fragrances smelled in the bottles with the aromas found in the glass. Notes of walnut, curry, dried fruit and forest floor are among the examples explored. You also discover why a Vin Jaune can have notes of oriental spices, or a red wine notes of leather.
Booking and participation conditions
The activity lasts 2 hours and requires advance booking. It is restricted to people over 18. It will only go ahead with a minimum of 4 bookings, with a maximum of 7 participants.
