About this event in the Jura in Darbonnay

Perfumes and chocolates : exploring their connections

In Darbonnay, in the Jura, la Bulle à Parfums offers ‘Perfumes & Chocolates’, an exclusive sensory activity bringing together luxury perfumery and fine chocolate-making. This unusual activity takes the form of a distinctive journey of scent and taste, guided by Tiphaine FOUGERE, a former perfumery laboratory technician.

The experience combines the art of fragrance composition with excellence in taste. It invites you to awaken your senses and explore the links between these two worlds through emotions. The small group size allows for a personalised approach.

Three elements connecting smell and taste

  • The art of perfume

This introduction to scent lets you discover the language of perfumes and learn to distinguish floral, woody, oriental and gourmand fragrance families. The exploration draws on rare raw materials and perfumers’ creations.

Particular attention is paid to gourmand perfumes: fragrances that evoke chocolate, vanilla and sweet notes. They provide an initial insight into the connections between perfumery and chocolate.

  • Excellence in chocolate

The tasting brings together a selection of exceptional chocolates from the renowned Maison Hirsinger, Meilleur Ouvrier de France (M.O.F.). It offers the opportunity to learn how to decipher the complex aromas and deep flavours of artisan-quality chocolate.

  • The matching game

At the heart of the workshop, the search for the perfect pairing becomes a sensory challenge. The aim is to identify notes of spices, fruit or flowers, both in a perfume and in the chocolate being tasted. This game offers a special opportunity to discover the raw materials that contribute to the success of these two worlds.

Duration, group size and booking

The experience lasts approximately 2 hours. It welcomes a minimum of 4 adults and a maximum of 8 adults, with booking required 48 hours in advance.

The activity is aimed particularly at perfume enthusiasts. It is offered as an outing with friends, an activity for couples, a hen party or a corporate team-building event. It can also make an original gift, including in the form of a gift voucher.
