About this event in the Jura in Poligny
A metamorphosis through the centuries
Collectif Gwen presents Orlando at the Chapelle de la Congrégation in Poligny. This stage production adapts Virginia Woolf’s major work and follows the destiny of a young Elizabethan aristocrat who one day wakes up transformed into a woman.
Performed by Lucie Brandsma, Sébastien Dalloni and Thomas Harel, the adaptation spans the centuries in an hour. Orlando’s journey combines subtle humour and a quest for emancipation. Through this literary fable, the performance questions social conventions and the freedom to chart one’s own destiny as an artist.
