About this event in the Jura in Poligny
Mathilde, the nuances of love in song
At the Chapelle de la Congrégation in Poligny, Mathilde gives a one-hour concert for all ages. A composer with pop influences, she cultivates a lightness of touch that can move everyone, while championing a range of causes.
Her songs explore love in its many shades: the women forgotten by Venus, emotional dependency, fear of commitment, the end of illusion and the death of the thrill. In « La Nuit · Le Jour », released on 1 March 2024, we hear the cry, or cries, of a woman firmly on the side of society's invisible and forgotten people.
A Full Band line-up and French Sign Language interpretation
For this new music season, Mathilde is accompanied by her Full Band line-up. The live show features her musicians alongside a French Sign Language interpreter, who has been at her side since 2017 as part of her wider project to make song accessible to deaf people.
This interpreter, Christelle, led the team of deaf people and interpreters who translated and adapted Mathilde's entire repertoire. Christelle and Josh Renton, her guitarist, are named among the artist's accompanying performers.
Concert accessibility
The concert is accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences as well as people with reduced mobility, with seating and designated spaces for people with reduced mobility.
