About this event in the Jura in Dole
First gaining fame with her essential single Banana Split, Lio is now one of the greatest French-speaking pop icons. The release of Banana Split in 1979 paved the way for a string of hits such as Amoureux Solitaires, Amicalement Vôtre, and Week-end à Rome, a duet with Étienne Daho.
With 11 albums to her name, Lio makes her grand return with a 12th studio album: Geoid Party in the Sky. A record born of a desire to return to her first loves and pay tribute to the wonderful encounters life has brought her. Then there are the wonderful encounters of her career, and it is above all these that enrich her new project.
Lio called on some of the biggest names in the new pop generation: Louane, Hoshi, Corine, Isia Marie, Betta Lemme, Sophie Ellis Bexter, Marie Darrieussecq and Sofia Portanet all agreed to write for the Belgian-Portuguese icon. Each lyric is shaped above all around an encounter and a passing on of experience, and addresses themes shared by women of every generation.
