In Pont-de-Poitte, discover a renovation project with Reichardt-Ferreux architectes, then join the discussion at a CAUE du Jura round table.
About this event in the Jura in Pont-de-Poitte
A building with many lives in Pont-de-Poitte
Once a slaughterhouse, then a fire brigade garage and finally a community hall: the building being presented in Pont-de-Poitte has changed use several times. Set in the heart of the village on the banks of the Ain, it enjoys a prime location, without having fully made the most of the site’s qualities.
Its conversion into a community hall, undertaken by the practice Reichardt-Ferreux architectes, is the third and final stop on a route exploring three recent renovation projects in Jura.
A transformation explained by its architects
Keen to preserve this building with its distinctive charm, the municipality embarked on its renovation to give it a new purpose. It now houses a room for local associations, a shared workspace and a space dedicated to cultural events. These functions meet contemporary needs and uses at village level.
During the visit, architects from the Reichardt-Ferreux practice will present the choices that guided the project. They will also explain how the spaces were redesigned to accommodate these new uses. Visitors will therefore discover the building through the eyes of those who designed its transformation.
Three renovation projects for National Architecture Days
This route is offered by CAUE du Jura for National Architecture Days, around the theme “Renovating: Building the Future”. It provides a special opportunity to step inside three remarkable renovation projects in Jura.
With commentary from the architects and project designers, the visits offer a behind-the-scenes look at the transformations, an understanding of the choices that shaped them and a chance to speak directly with their creators. The Pont-de-Poitte visit concludes this three-stop exploration.
A round table to continue the discussion
After this final visit, a round table chaired by Stéphane Écarnot, director of CAUE du Jura, will continue the discussion with the architects. A friendly get-together will then round off the day.
