About this event in the Jura in Dole
Wine in Dole's history
“Heritage and Wines”, offered in Dole with the Office de Tourisme de Dole as the announced venue, highlights the historical links between vineyards, heritage and wine politics in the Jura under the Dukes of Burgundy in the 15th century.
The tour focuses on this period when Dole was the capital of the County Palatine, a possession of the Valois Dukes. Wine is explored through its relationship with heritage and the political context of the time.
An urban route and a tasting
This urban tour takes in places and works of art associated with this period. It also explores the presence of vines in Dole, another aspect of this discovery of the links between the town and its vineyards.
The tasting is held “blind” and uses the “Nez du Vin”.
Guide and registration
The tour is led by a nationally qualified guide and lecturer, a graduate of the Université de Bourgogne and the Institut des Vins.
The tour is free. Registration is required.
