Thirteen scenes on the rise of totalitarianism
In Poligny, Compagnie Les Coloquintes presents ‘Fear and Misery of the Third Reich’ at the Chapelle de la Congrégation. Conceived by Christophe Vincent from Bertolt Brecht’s work, this production traces how totalitarianism insidiously takes hold in citizens’ everyday lives.
The play unfolds in thirteen striking scenes. It sets history alongside contemporary questions about authoritarianism and collective excesses.
Theatre, projections and chorus
Twelve actors come together on stage. The immersive approach combines theatrical performance, visual projections and choral work. These forms intertwine to bring the scenes that make up the show to life.
The advertised running time is 1 hour 40 minutes, and the show is suitable for ages 10 and over.
