A chest at the heart of the legend of Black Sam
At Salins-les-Bains library, the escape game ‘Black Sam’s Treasure’ takes the true story of Samuel Bellamy as its starting point. Known as BlackSam and nicknamed the ‘Prince of Pirates’, he disappeared during a storm in 1717, off Cape Cod.
He was carrying the treasures of 53 ships at the time. His disappearance, with such a cargo, contributed to his legend. The puzzle revolves around this famous pirate and a mysterious chest.
A mystery still to be solved
In the game’s story, one of Black Sam’s chests has been found, hidden deep inside a cave. So far, no one has managed to unlock it or solve its mystery.
What does this chest hold? What could its contents be? Did Black Sam lock away part of his treasure inside? These questions remain unanswered: finding the chest is not enough to reveal its secret.
Taking part in the escape game
Led by Code 39 Escape Game, ‘Black Sam’s Treasure’ is for ages 7 and over. Registration is required to take part, at Salins-les-Bains library.
