An exhibition all about Beer & Science … Louis Pasteur revolutionised beer production with his discoveries. Today, brewing methods have evolved and professionals have learnt to manage, and even control, bacteria and fermentation cultures. For professionals, pasteurisation, although still used, is no longer a matter of life or death for beer.
With the recent enthusiasm for fermentation, researchers in archaeology, microbiology and anthropology are investigating traditional beer, while research and development departments seek out innovations.
Through displays of objects, the houses of Louis Pasteur will help present and share knowledge currently being developed in laboratories in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region and elsewhere.
