About this event in the Jura in Saint-Claude
Autumn improvements at Les Avignonnets
In Saint-Claude, the Espace convivial des Avignonnets is hosting an autumn work party open to everyone. Residents are invited to lend a hand with further improvements to the site: tree planting, maintenance and cleaning are among the planned gardening tasks.
A space transformed over the year
The land had remained vacant following the demolition of a building. Throughout the year, local residents have brought it back to life with help from the Espace Mosaïque social centre, the association Les Jardins partagés de Saint-Claude and the CPIE du Haut-Jura.
After this work over the past months, it is time for autumn improvements. The work party continues this collective effort, with the aim of creating a pleasant place to spend time together in Saint-Claude.
Two opportunities to take part
- Thursday 22 October, from 10am to 4pm: gardening work party, including tree planting, maintenance and cleaning of the space. A shared lunch is planned at midday; everyone is invited to bring something they would like others to try.
- Friday 23 October, from 10am to noon: continuing the work party to finish the remaining improvements.
Meet at the Espace convivial des Avignonnets in Saint-Claude. Everyone is invited to take part and contribute to the autumn work on this neighbourhood space.
