Clay on the programme at Graines d'artisans
On Wednesday 21 October 2026, discover pottery with Sonia FROBERT at the Atelier des Savoir-Faire in Ravilloles. This “Graines d'artisans” session offers two approaches to clay, with time slots tailored to the children’s ages.
It is part of the hands-on workshops offered on Wednesdays during the school holidays. Craftspeople from the Atelier des savoir-faire invite children to discover their trades by making a creation of their own, which each child takes home.
Two time slots according to age
- Ages 5–10, from 2pm to 3.30pm: an introduction to clay modelling and sculpture.
- Ages 11–15, from 4pm to 5.30pm: shaping a piece by hand, with an introduction to the potter’s wheel.
For the younger children, the approach therefore involves modelling and sculpture. Those aged 11–15 shape a piece by hand and also discover the potter’s wheel.
Creations in unfired clay
These introductory sessions offer a chance to discover pottery, get a feel for the material and let creativity flow. Depending on their age, ideas and tastes, the young participants can make unique pieces in unfired clay and take their creations home.
