About this event in the Jura in Arbois
90 years of AOCs, between national history and Jura identity
In Arbois, the Musée de la Vigne et du Vin du Jura hosts the exhibition “INAO: 90 years serving French agriculture”. Created by the Institut National de l’Origine et de la Qualité, it is presented to mark the 90th anniversary of the Arbois and Château-Chalon AOCs.
The exhibition traces 90 years of the history of Appellations d’Origine Contrôlée (AOCs). It explores this living heritage through expertise, terroirs and their official recognition: all dimensions that make up the history of these appellations.
The Jura’s wine-growing identity lies at the heart of this exploration. The anniversary of the two AOCs thus provides the setting for an exhibition devoted both to this history and to INAO’s 90 years serving French agriculture.
Venue and dates
The exhibition is hosted at the Musée de la Vigne et du Vin in Arbois. The dates listed are 01/09, 01/11 and 26/12.
