About this event in the Jura in Premanon

Joining forces for the Jura mountains

The 1st Jura Mountains Zero Litter Gathering in Premanon has a collective ambition: to achieve zero litter by 2030. The CPIE du Haut-Jura is taking part in the event as a partner, to spread this momentum across the Jura mountains and help build a collective capable of meeting tomorrow’s challenges.

A measured decline, a goal to pursue

The mobilisation of all stakeholders in the French mountains has led to a reduction in pollution caused by litter and dumped waste. In 2025, an analysis found a decrease of -7.6% compared with 2023, a result attributed to the collective effort.

The gathering reflects the desire to turn this progress into a shared ambition for 2030: to become the only natural area free of all pollution from litter and dumped waste, making the water cycle clean at its source. This is a goal to be built together, driven by the mobilisation of mountain stakeholders.
